Club Rules

!. The season is per NRW bye-laws with the exception of Llyn Berwyn which opens on 1st April and closes on 30th September

2. No fishing is allowed without a ticket issued on behalf of the association and anglers must possess a valid NRW/ Environment Agency licence before fishing

3. The Association reserves full powers regarding the issuing of tickets.

4. Tickets are not transferable and are to be produced when asked for by any member of the Association or    an authorised Bailiff

5. Ticket-holders shall:-

    5.1 follow the Country Code

    5.2 not take dogs onto land controlled by the Association

    5.3 use bridges, stiles, etc., laid down by the Association at their own risk

    5.4 accept the rules of the Association as binding

6  Fishing methods

    6.1When the river level is below 0.8m as recorded by the NRW River Level call line 0906 6197755 anglers shall not :-

             6.1.1 fish for Salmon and /or Sewin in the river except in those pools designated on the Association's official maps

             6.1.2 spin or worm for Brown Trout in the river

     6.2 Only Game fishing is permitted on any water controlled by the Association except with the express permission of the Committee

     6.3 Fly-fishing only for Brown Trout on:-

              6.3.1 Beat 3 (except in those pools designated on the Association's Official Maps)

              6.3.2 Llyn Hir

              6.3.3 Llyn Egnant

              6.3.4 Llyn Berwyn

      6.4 All legal methods on Llyn Teifi

      6.5 Catch and release only on Beat 3

      6.6.No spinning on any Association beat of the river before 16th June

      6.7 The Association recommends that anglers catch and release and use either crushed barbs or barbless hooks.

7. Fishing: Ticket-holders shall:-

      7.1 use only one rod at a time

      7.2 only fish using a rod

      7.3 return all fish less than 23cm in length to the water

      7.4 take a maximum of 4 Brown Trout per day of which  a maximum of 2 can be taken from the river.

      7.5 all Salmon must be returned.

      7.6 the sale of all rod caught fish from Association waters is banned.

8  Any ticket-holder convicted of an offence of the Fishing Bye-Laws or infringement of the Rules of the Association shall forfeit their ticket and be prohibited from purchasing a ticket in future at the sole discretion of the Committee

9. All disputes will be referred in writing to the Chairman. Disputes will be considered at a General meeting of the mebers and the decision of the committee shall be accepted as final.
